Risk Assessment
For my OTS I needed to produce a risk assessment so that everyone involved in production knows what the potential dangers are, what can be done to prevent them and any further action that may be required. Below is a list of risks assessment that could occur during filming.
Using Fake Blood
I will obviously be using fake blood throughout, primarily in the post-death shots and during a cultic ritual. There are two risks with this, firstly, if I use a edible and non edible blood, there is the possibility of mixing the two up, and filling someones mouth with washing up liquid. Secondly, Food colouring stains, so there is the potential to damage filming equipment, clothing and location. To prevent these things, I can clearly label my fake blood solutions, and anywhere there is potential to cause damage I need to clean up quickly, or cover up beforehand. |
Smoking and Fire
That is probably the most dangerous risk I have during the production. In a fire shots when the used fireworks/paper will be burning on the ground I need to make sure people that aren't needed stay away from it and no one will walk over the fire. I can be quite dangerous if we also don't put it out and leave it, so it's important to have some water ready in case the fire gets bigger. Another part to it is smoking. When filming the smoking shots I made sure it's someone who knows what they are doing and won't burn his skin or his throat if never smoked before. |
