Moving Image Inspiration

I really liked how Pan's Labirynth begins with a dying/dead body and a horizontal shot, which I decided to use as my opening shot too. I also got inspired by the fairytale narrative in the background, which I replaced by the poem instead that also tells a story and set a mood of the film. |

This cult scene from Sherlock Holmes inspired some of the shots in my OTS. Mostly the idea of a ritual and the mis-en-scene was a definite inspiration, which I would explore more in a film and only hinted at it in the OTS. |

Both of the AHS intros have a great imagery that inspired me for the theme of cults and organisations. I feel like the symbolism used there represents my ideas well.

A Clockwork Orange really inspired me when it comes to the long still shot and the narration in the background. I think it adds an interesting effect when the audience can start identifying with a narrative right from the start and it adds a lot of anticipation effect of the pure confusion.

This Get Out scene felt very unsettling and therefore I wanted to take the idea and show it in m OTS, as the eyes represent the perspective of the cult members and the fear of it, which here resembles the hallucination - very close to my ideas.
