Preliminary Task
This rule effectively creates an invisible line that the camera stays within when filming any kind of conversation. It's important to remain the continuity in a dialogue. Crossing the 180 degrees causes the characters to swap positions or face the same direction resulting in breaking of the flow. For example, you’re looking at a scene from the side and you can see all of it. If you look at one character, they are on the left hand side of the scene facing right. The other character is on the right side of the scene facing left. When you break the 180 degree line of filming, it looks as though the two characters are both facing the same way!
On my first attempt I did not take into account the 180 degree rule and the other do's and don'ts of media (such as continuity). This lead me to create a poor video overall with scenes that featured random unwanted scenes and used shots from angles that made the scene as a whole look unrealistic.
At the beginning of the shot, Shawn can be seen walking into the room wearing only a shirt, then on the opposite side he would wear a jumper, and then we have another unwanted shot of 'trial shot' where he comes in through another door wearing completely different clothes.
Additionally, many different errors were made when filming the footage. There is completely no flow of the video - completely random and unrealistic shots of Shawn trying to put a bottle down upside down, one of them not even being edited just for the moment he gets it right. Soon we can see him saying the line OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, breaking the 180 degree rule and location. This proves what would happen if the film was filmed without remembering the exact locations and on different days etc.
Another mistake I made is having unwanted bloopers scene in the actual footage, such as the smashing clip at the end that isn't needed at all and wasn't deleted in post production.
Generally the video doesn't make sense at all and doesn't have a structure which is needed when making a complete film.

After reviewing my mistakes that I made with the first attempt I re-shot the footage. I focused on several areas to improve in this: continuity, audio, video and post-production.
When I filmed each shot I made sure that they followed one another. This was to reduce or eliminate potential continuity errors when sequencing the scene in post production.
As we filmed each shot, I made sure to place the camera in the right place using the 180 degree rule. Continuity is important as it follows the narrative without stuff interrupting it or changing the storyline, that's why I kept it simple. For example if Shawn's costume had changed between shots again, it would be obvious that the scene isn't continual.
Finally in post production I ensured that all clips flowed and that there were no mistakes when editing everything such as unused scenes in the middle of a footage.
