Sound and light design can each add their own individual element and depth to a film that would not have existed without them. Even the smallest sounds can create suspension and realism of a scene, especially in horror genre. Light design is important when considering the mysterious from obvious, the underlying ideas, also colour theory and how to show concepts through different types of lighting and colour.
